Terms of use
The rules for using globalcrisis.io and the game. Short on purpose.
Draft pending legal review. It can still change before v1.0, published before the token launch.
A game, not an investment.
- It's a game. GLOBAL CRISIS is made for entertainment. Buying a box is a game purchase: you pay for a random agent to play with.
- Not an investment. Boxes, agents and {token} are not a security, a savings product or a yield product, and are not sold as one.
- Nothing is promised. Rewards and any return are not guaranteed. You can lose everything you spend. Only spend what you can afford to lose.
- The token can go to zero. {token} can lose all its value. Its price and its liquidity can fall to zero, and you may not be able to sell.
- Your risk, your laws. You play at your own risk. Nothing on this site is financial, legal or tax advice. You are responsible for following the laws and paying the taxes that apply where you live.
- No third-party audit yet. The on-chain setup, server and gateway have not been audited by a third-party security firm.
1. What these terms cover
These terms cover globalcrisis.io, the game at /play, the use of {token} inside the game, and the on-chain accounts and transactions the game uses on Solana for box purchases and claims. “We” means the team that runs GLOBAL CRISIS. Using the site or playing the game (signing in, buying a box or claiming) means you accept these terms and the risk disclosure.
2. It's a satirical game
GLOBAL CRISIS is satire. Every character is a fictional caricature. None is affiliated with or endorsed by any real person, company or government.
3. A game purchase, not financial advice
Buying a box is a game purchase: you buy it to play, not to make money. {token} is the game's token. We make no promise about its price, about what any agent will collect, or about any return.
Nothing on this site, in the game or on our channels is financial, legal or tax advice. Read the risk disclosure before you buy anything.
4. Who can play
You must be 18 or older and allowed to use crypto tokens where you live. You use the site and the game at your own risk. You are responsible for the laws and taxes that apply to you.
We don't block any country. Whether you may take part where you live is your responsibility.
5. Your wallet and your keys
- Your wallet is your game account. You sign in by signing a message with it (Sign In With Solana): no network fee, and it moves no funds.
- You hold your own keys. You are responsible for your wallet, its keys and its seed phrase. We will never ask for your seed phrase or private key, and we will never DM you first.
- If you lose access to your wallet, you lose access to your game account, with its agents and balance. We can't recover keys.
- On-chain transactions, like buying boxes from your wallet, are final once confirmed: we can't reverse them. The ones you sign cost a Solana network fee in SOL, paid by you. Claim payouts are sent by the game, which pays their network fee.
- Read what your wallet asks you to sign before you confirm.
6. Boxes, agents and your game balance
- Agents are game items, not NFTs. They live in your account, can't be sold or transferred, and have no cash value.
- There are no deposits. {token} enters the game only when you buy boxes: from your wallet (one on-chain transaction; you pay the Solana network fee) or from your game balance (your wallet signs an order; no network fee). {token} sent to any address, including our vaults, is not added to your game balance.
- The box price is set in {token} and does not change with sales. A change to it is announced at least 72 hours before it applies. The price and how each payment is split are set by the game and checked by our server, not by an on-chain program; for a purchase from your wallet, the wallet shows the exact amounts before you sign, and the burned part is burned in that same transaction. Buying a box means you accept these terms and the risk disclosure. Every purchase asks for confirmation and shows the price and the odds. Paid boxes are not refunded.
- Box contents are random. The odds are public (75% Common · 18% Rare · 6% Epic · 1% Legendary). Boxes you buy are drawn in rounds whose secret seed is committed on-chain before they open and revealed on-chain when they close, so anyone can check every result. Agents freed from a jail, agents made by combining and the results of upgrades are drawn by our game server: those results are logged, but they can't be checked on-chain.
- Your game balance is a record kept by our server, in a history that is never edited. It is not a bank account, a deposit or a savings account, and it pays no interest.
7. Claims (withdrawals)
A claim moves {token} from your game balance to your wallet. We check the rules below and debit your balance, and the game's payout key sends the tokens to your wallet in one Solana transaction. There is no step to cash it and no network fee for you: the game pays it. The rules:
- Minimum: the price of one box. Once the game has ended (section 9), there is no minimum.
- Token account: your wallet needs its own {token} token account, which you open and pay for (a wallet gets one the first time it holds {token}). Without it, a claim is refused before your balance is debited. We don't open it for you.
- Fee: 20% (under 24 h), 10% (24 h to 48 h) or 0% (48 h or more), counted from your last claim, or from when you created your account if you have never claimed. The fee is taken from the amount in the same payout transaction.
- Reviews: claims from accounts flagged by our anti-cheat checks can be held for review or stopped.
- One open claim per account at a time. If a payout fails for good, the amount returns to your game balance.
- Daily limit: the payout key can take out of the reward pool at most a set total per day, across all players. The limit is enforced on-chain by the multisig (a Squads spending limit). A claim that doesn't fit in the day's limit waits for the next day. Value: Published before the token launchPublished before the token launch
- Pauses: for security, claims can be paused at any time by us in an emergency, or automatically when our daily balance check fails. On-chain, the multisig can lower or remove the daily spending limit; that change waits through its time lock. The token itself can't be paused or frozen.
- Claims open: The same day the game opens.
8. Fair play
One human, one wallet, one account. Bots, scripts, auto-clickers, macros and browser automation, including AI agents, are not allowed to play for you. Neither are multiple accounts used to get around limits, or using bugs. If you find a bug, report it on /support instead of using it.
Rewards come from a shared daily pool, so automated play takes them from other players. We look for signs of it in how an account plays, for example play around the clock or agents woken the moment they are ready. A person reviews those signs: nothing is paused or suspended automatically.
For abuse, cheating or automated play we can flag an account, pause its farming (its agents can't be woken and no rewards are credited while paused; what it already has stays in its balance), hold its claims for review, or suspend it. A suspended account can't play or claim. Rewards credited from automated play can be withheld. The game shows when farming is paused, and you can appeal on /support.
9. Changes, pauses and shutdown
We can change the game: rewards, maps, agents, prices, fees, limits and rules. A change to the rules or parameters that lowers rewards is announced at least 72 hours ahead in the public announcements, and no change reduces balances already credited. Box odds are committed on-chain with every round: a change to them is announced at least 72 hours ahead.
We can pause box sales, claims or the whole game at any time, for security or maintenance. We can also end the game; if we do, we announce it on this site and on X before it happens.
If the reward pool runs low, the game may stop accepting play and box sales. Game balances stay withdrawable.
10. No warranty, limited liability
The site, the game, our servers and our on-chain setup are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties. We run no on-chain programs of our own: only standard Solana programs written by others (Token, Squads, Memo and the DEX that holds the pool). Our setup and our servers have not been audited by a third-party security firm. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses caused by token price changes, lack of liquidity, bugs in our code or in third-party programs, server, network or wallet failures, pauses, lost keys, phishing, or changes to the game.
